Hubli, Mar 3 (UNI) The Corps of Detectives brought suspected SIMI activist Yahya Khan to Dharwad near here, for further interrogation today.

Yahya, said to be the Karnataka leader of the banned SIMI, had allegedly conspired to trigger blasts at several places, including tourist spots in the state with the help of his accomplices- Asif Mohammad and Shakeel Mali who were already arrested by the police.

Yahya, arrested in Bangalore last month, was taken to an unknown place near Honnali in Davangere district for interrogation yesterday.

The CoD team is expected to take him to Bangalore again after interrogation in Dharwad, sources said. He would be produced before a court at Honnali on March 6, seeking further custody with the CoD.

Meanwhile, advocates of Asif Mohammad, who had moved a bail application before Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) here, were granted permission to meet him at Central Prison in Belgaum today.

However, they did not turn up, jail officials said.
