No corpus fund for women workers in unorganised sector

New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) The Government is not creating a corpus fund to pay a fixed amount to women workers in the unorganised sector during pregnancy, the Lok Sabha was informed today.

Minister of State for Labour and Employment Oscar Fernandes in a written reply, said under an ongoing scheme, financial Assistance of Rs 1,000 per delivery for first two children was provided to these workers.

Workers engaged in Beedi, cine sector and certain coal mines administered by the Labour Welfare Organisation under the Ministry would get the benefits.
