Handicapped teenager murders father

Chennai, Mar 3 (UNI) A physically-challenged teenager bludgeoned his father to death, unable to bear the constant insults heaped on him, here today.

Police said Premkumar (16), studying in ninth standard in a Government school, was frustrated as his father Mariappan (45), a lorry driver, always made fun of his handicap and beat his mother in an inebriated condition.

Giving vent to his anger, Premkumar smashed his father's head with a grinding stone. He immediately surrendered before the Meenambakkam police station.

Mariappan was admitted in a serious condition to the Government Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
