Four killed as bus overturns in Orissa

Bhubaneswar, Mar 3 (UNI) At least four people were killed and five injured when a bus carrying them overturned on the Tikabali-Chakapada road near Pasara in the Kandhamal district today.

Police said the accident occurred when the front axle of the vehicle broke down and the bus fell into a roadside gorge.

While one died on the spot, three succumbed to their injuries in Tikabali Public Health Centre.

Out of the five injured, four were shifted to the MKCG Medical College and Hospital at Berhampur as their condition deteriorated, while one person was undergoing treatment at the Tikabali PHC, police added.
