EC team arrives to hold parleys with politicians

Bangalore, Mar 3 (UNI) The full team of the Election Commission headed by Chief Election Commissioner N Gopalaswamy arrived here tonight to hold parleys with officials and politicians on the conduct of mid-term polls to the Karnataka Assembly.

Election Commissioners Navin Chawla and S Y Qureshi accompanied the CEC.

The team would hold a day-long meeting with presiding officers, Deputy Commissioners of all districts and also with leaders of political parties, tomorrow.

The team is in the city to examine the updated electoral rolls and the delimitation work of Assembly and Lok Sabha segments taken up by State Election Commission, as per the Delimitation Commission recommendations.
