Criminal carrying Rs 20,000 reward on his head arrested
New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) Delhi Police arrested a criminal carrying a bounty of Rs 20,000 on his head, after a brief encounter here.
Police said today Ashok Yadav, absconding for the last eight years in a murder case, was finally arrested after a brief encounter in Anand Vihar in east Delhi.
Police were informed that the criminal was reorganising his gang in the capital.
On March 1, the police cornered the accused. The criminal retaliated and fired at the police in a bid to escape.
However, he was arrested along with a pistol and three cartridges by the Special Cell sleuths.
Convicted in the year 2000 for the murder of his associate in 1990, Yadav had also killed two of his inmates in 1998 while serving his term in Tihar jail.
