Commodore Sunil Jetly appointed as NOIC
Visakhapatnam, Mar 3 (UNI) Commodore Sunil Jetly today took over as the Naval Officer-in-Charge (NOIC) from Commodore K N Mohandas in a ceremonial parade held at naval dockyard here.
According to a navy release here, he was presented a 19 men guard salute after which he inspected the platoons consisting of officers and sailors of the local flotilla.
Mr Jetly, an anti-submarine warfare specilist, had held a number of prestigious positions, including the Directing Staff, Defence Service Staff College, Wellington, Director of Martime Warfare Centre, Commander of Indian navalship Aditya and submarines Sindhuir and Sindhuvijay.
An alumnus of the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Overseas Staff College, USA, Mr Jetly was the Commanding Officer of Submarnies (East) and INS Virbahu.
