2 held for attempting to sell imitation gold
Kannur, Mar 3 (UNI) Iritty police today arrested two persons in connection with the sale of imitation gold.
The duo was involved in the sale of imitation gold worth Rs one crore in Mysore, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Malappuram and Kannur, Deputy SP, A P Showkathali said.
Police identified the culprits as Muhammed (60) and Muraleedharan (27) both hailing from Malappuram. When they attempted to sell four kg of fake gold biscuit to a gullible customer in Iritty, the latter alerted the police, who caught them.
A car with Haryana registration was seized from them.
They were later produced before the Mattanur First Class Judicial Magistrate Court.
