Tiger menace on in Kodagu village
Madikeri, Mar 2 (UNI) A tiger, which strayed into human habitations, killed a bullock and injured a cow, even as people were urging the forest officials to curb the menace at T Shettigeri, in South Kodagu near here.
According to a complaint, the feline mauled to death a bullock and attacked a cow in the courtyards of a planter. The animal escaped into the jungle, after seeing the villagers.
It was alleged that though the forest staff visited the spot, they left in a hurry without conducting an inquest.
The villagers in South Kodagu had complained of increasing attack on livestocks to the forest staff, who had assured them of capturing the tiger.
