Govt to prepare Concept Note to set up Constitutional Authority
Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) Inviting suggestions from various sections of the people, including economists and sociologists for the development of backward areas, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the Government would organise a meeting on March six to prepare a 'Concept Note' for the establishment of a Constitutional Authority.
Dr Reddy recently announced in the Budget Session of the Assembly that the Government was ready to constitute a 'Constitutonal Authority' for the development of backward areas and districts in the State.
Pointing out that the Opposition TDP had not responded to the proposal, Dr Reddy said all the top officials would participate in the meeting to prepare the 'Concept Note'.
Stating that his Government had allocated huge funds for the construction of pending and new irrigation projects in Telangana region, he said, while interacting with the officials, an official release said.
