Four held for betting on India-Australia final match

Vadodara, Mar 2 (UNI) Four bookies of Vadodara were arrested by the district rural police from village Sansrod for allegedly betting on first final one-day tie between India and Australia played at Sydney today in the triangular cricket series.

Acting on a tip-off, police raided a house at village Sansrod in Karjan taluka and nabbed the four with half-a-dozen mobiles, a diary, a television set and cash worth Rs one lakh.

An offence has been registered in this connection at the Karjan police station and further investigations were on, police sources said.
