Foreign liquor worth Rs 10 lakh seized

Baripada, Mar 2 (UNI) The Excise and Commercial tax sleuths have seized foreign liquors worth Rs 10 lakh near interstate checkgate at Jamsola on Orissa-Jharkhand border.

Sources said the officials intercepted a goods carrying truck at the border yesterday and seized 530 packages of illegal foreign liquors coming from Chandigarh.

The consignment was kept concealed under other trading articles, checkgate officials said.
