Congress to complain to CEC on preparation of electroral list
Bangalore, Mar 2 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge today, questioning the genuineness of the process of preparation of electoral list in the state, said that Congress would complain to CEC during his visit to the City on March Four.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that the state Election office was preparing the list in a hurry only to please the Central Election Commission.
Mr Kharge demanded the officials to make door-to-door visits to carry out the verification process of the voters list.
CEC had asked the state election office to prepare fresh list of voters following complaint of bogus voters in electoral list.
He accused both JD(S) and BJP of creating bogus voters during their coalition rule in the state.
"It would be a big injustice to the party if the CEC goes ahead with conducting of assembly polls without fresh review of the list," he added.
Mr Kharge welcomed the Union budget which, according to him, has many welfare programmes for farmers and middle class people.
