TATA motors introduced latest passenger vehicle: Sumo Grande

Bangalore, Mar 01(UNI) India's largest automotive company TATA Motors launched its latest passenger vehicle Sumo Grande here today.

Speaking to newsmen after launching the vehicle, Mr S G Saksena, Head, Product Group, Utility Vehicle, TATA Motors said that the new vehicle would offers all the features of a Sports Utility Vehicle and a small car which is perfect for a family.

Stating that the new Sumo Grande, designed like a rugged SUV with all the comforts of a family car "It gives one of the best of both worlds" he said.

The new vehicle comes with three variant was fitted with 2.2 Litre Direct Injection Common Rail Engine delivering 120 PS of power and 250 NM of torque which ensures the perfect blend of performance and fuel efficiency, he said.

Informing that the new vehicle Sumo Grande, unveiled at the Auto Expo in January this year would be available in all the 180 showrooms all over the country. It comes in the price range of Rs 6.53 lakhs to Rs 7.48 lakhs (ex-showroom Bangalore) with an enhanced warranty of two years.

Replying to questions Mr Saksena said that TATA Motors, which enjoys over 20 per cent of the market share in the Sports Utility Vehicle segment, the new release would help to sustain as well as improve the growth.
