Silver declines, Gold rises: BBA

Mumbai, Mar 1: A mixed trend was observed in the precious metals today as white metal eased by Rs 65 per kg on thin buying support while yellow metal improved by Rs 35 per ten gm in the opening session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.

Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay Bullion market today: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 24,030 Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,555 Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,610.
