RTI seminar tomorrow in NBRI
Lucknow, Mar 1 (UNI) A state level seminar to review the credibility and accountability of the Right to Information Act (RTI) will be conducted here tomorrow.
The seminar organised by the Action Group for Right to Information at the National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) auditorium would be inaugurated by former defence secretary Yogendra Narayan.
High Court Justice Pradeepkant would be the chief guest.
The seminar would review whether the tool of democracy is transparent and is helping in curbing corruption.
Magsaysay award winner and noted RTI activist Sandeep Pandey, UP Volentary Action Network 'UPVAN' executive director C S Vyas Ambedkar University's School of Legal Studies and Human Rights president S K Bhatnagar, Lucknow University Social Works department president R B S Verma and Public Administration's Kumkum Dhar, Amity University Mass Communication president Anita R Chandra, Senior journalist Sharad Pradhan and RTI specialists, activists, workers and NGOs and representatives of public groups would also take part in the seminar.
