Mob lynched man for raping minor

Barabanki, Mar 1 (UNI) A history-sheeter was today lynched by the villagers for allegedly raping a seven-year-old in Jahangirabad area here.

The incident took place when Sagir (45) of Roti village assaulted the minor in an isolated field at Rustampur Bhayara village, police said.

However, he was beaten to death by the villagers, who reached the site hearing the girls cry.

Earlier, Sagir had been booked for many criminally cases.
