Mentally ill man attempts suicide outside Mughal Gardens

New Delhi, Mar 1 (UNI) A mentally ill man today attempted suicide outside the Mughal Gardens here.

Lal Bahadur, who hails from Bihar, later told police that a ''transmitter'' fitted inside his body was not allowing to work properly which forced him to take the extreme step.

He consumed urea to commit suicide but was saved by the timely action of policemen who rushed him to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital.

Police described his condition as normal.
