Maoist gun down policeman

Sheohar, Mar 01 (UNI) Proscribed CPI(Maoist) ultras today shot dead a policeman under Taryani police station in the district.

Deputy Superintendent of Police B N Mishra said here that Ramdular Sahni, a chowkidar posted at Taryani police station, was fast asleep when Maoist ultras attacked his house and opened fire, killing him on the spot.

The body had been sent for autopsy at Sitamarhi sadar hospital, he said adding raids were being carried out to nab the ultras.
