Gold hits fresh record high

Mumbai, Mar 1: Gold today hit a fresh record high of Rs 12,565 per ten gm while silver slightly dipped and closed at Rs 24,020 per kg in the closing session, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association (BBA) said.

The yellow metal advanced by Rs 45 while the white metal went down by Rs 75 traders added. Following are the closing rates of spot silver and gold: Silver (per kg) 999 fines grade : Rs 24,020 (24,095) Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,565 (12,520) Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,620 (12,575).
