Former Bihar minister dead
Patna, Mar 01(UNI) Former Bihar minister and a socialist leader Kamal Paswan passed away today at Muzaffarpur.
He was 65 and survived by wife and four children.
He was elected to the Bihar Vidhan Sabha thrice. He was elected from Bochha Assembly constituency on Janta Party ticket in 1977, and from Sakra Assembly constituency on Janta Dal's ticket in 1990 and 1995. He was a minister in the Rabri Devi cabinet in 1997.
The last rites would be performed at Sikandarpur in Muzaffarpur this evening with full state honour.
Chief minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep sorrow at his death.
In his condolence message, the Chief Minister has described Mr Sinha as a social worker and popular politician who fought for the downtroddens.
RJD's National General Secratory-cum-Spokesman Shyam Rajak has also expressed deep sorrow at the untimely demise of Mr Paswan.
