False cases against Congressmen: Pachouri
Katni, MP, Mar 1 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Congress President and Union Minister of State for Personnel Suresh Pachouri today alleged that false cases are being registered against Congressmen by the BJP Government.
Mr Pachouri, while addressing a Janakrosh rally to protest alleged anti-people policies of the government, said atrocities against Congress workers would be strongly opposed.
On the occasion, thousands of Congress workers courted arrest to protest batoncharging of party workers in Vijayraghavgarh recently and registering case against former minister Satyendra Pathak.
Describing the state government as anti-farmer, Mr Pachouri said several cases were registered against peasants during the four-year-BJP rule. The BJP did not remember farmers in the past four years but was now making false announcements by calling 'mahapanchayats,' he added.
''The government is only making announcements but not implementing them,'' he said.
The Congress leader charged the government of a medical scam and irregularities in opening colleges. The Centre was sending money under central schemes but the state government was describing development works carried out through it as its achievement.
He said the BJP failed to fulfil its promise of constructing an over bridge and under bridge in Katni.
Mr Pachouri said the UPA Government at the Centre was working for the welfare of the common man. Farmers loans would be waived soon, while a 20 per cent increase has been made in the budget for health.
Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi criticised the government and attacked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over dumper issue.
