BJP Mayor and Deputy Mayor elected
Hubli, Mar 1(UNI) Ms Radhabhai Sapare was declared elected Mayor and Mr Chandrashekhar Mandgundi as Deputy Mayor of the Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation today.
BJP captured Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation after a gap of three decades' struggle with full majority in a 67-member Corporation.
BJP bagged 36 votes along with JD (U) six, Congress 22, JD (S) 9 in the elections held today.
Belgaum Division Commissioner Ms Amitaprasad announced the election results.
