Anganwadi workers to get more
New Delhi, Feb 29 (UNI) Good news for Anganwadi workers! Their remuneration will be increased from 1,000 per month to Rs 1,500 per month. This was announced by the Finance Minister P Chidambaram while presenting the General Budget 2008-09 in Lok Sabha today.
Likewise, the remuneration of Anganwadi Helpers will be increased from Rs 500 per month to Rs 750 per month. Over 18 lakh Anganwadi workers and helpers will benefit from the increase.
