26 structures qutted, 100 goats killed in Kathua fire
Jammu, Mar 1 (UNI) At least half-a-dozen villagers were injured and 26 structures, including a mosque, were gutted in a fire that broke out at Nalli Bonjwah in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir last evening, police sources said today.
Nine shops, 15 houses, one mosque and a madrassa were completely gutted in an inferno, sources said.
Cause of the devastating fire was yet not ascertained.
Sources said the army troops and people from the adjoining area had rushed to the village to help fire fighting operation.
Earlier on Thursday night, nearly a hundred goats and sheep were killed when two cattle sheds caught fire at Pathwal village in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district, the sources said.
