Youth dies during donating blood in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad, Feb 29 (UNI) In a strange incident, a 28-year-old youth died while donating blood at a local blood bank today.

Rakesh Kantilal Patel died this afternoon while donating a bottle of blood as a replacement for blood taken for his grandmother from Green Cross Blood Bank located in Paldi area of the city, according to the police sources.

During the blood donation, Rakesh felt unconscious and was rushed to the V S Hopital, where doctors on duty declared him as brought dead.

Police has registered a case of accidental death and sent his body for post-mortem.
