Verdict on Chirudih massacre on March 6
Jamtara, Feb 29 (UNI) The Jamtara court will give a verdict on March 6 on the more than three-decade-old Chirudih massacre in which 11 people were killed in Jharkhand.
Former Coal Minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha president Sibu Soren was the main accused besides 21 others in the case.
First Class Additional District and Sessions Judge Arun Kumar today fixed March 6 for the verdict on the case.
After 33 years of hearing witnesses of both sides, the trial court began its final argument from February 26.
The court after hearing argument reserved its final verdict till March 6.
Mr Soren was not produced today but the court directed all accused to be present on the day of verdict.
The Chirudih massacre occurred on January 23, 1975 in which 12 houses were also torched.
