Russian accident victim cremated in Jammu

Jammu, Feb 29 (UNI) A Russian woman, who was killed in an accident at tehsil Chenani of Udhampur district on February 21, was cremated here at cremation ground in the presence of two members of the Russian Embassy.

Police said the body of Galina Ulanovo, a resident of Mocaba, was kept in the government medical college Jammu mortuary after she died in an accident.

''The body was cremated yesterday evening at the cremation ground in the presence of two members of the Russian Embassy,'' police told UNI.

She was killed and four others sustained injuries when a vehicle in which they were traveling skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near village Champari of Udhampur district on February 21 afternoon, police added.
