Rs 100 crore each for 3 Institutions of Excellence

New Delhi, Feb 29: For the fourth year in succession, Finance Minister P Chidambaram has proposed to make a special grant of Rs 100 crore each to three institutions of excellence. While presenting the Budget proposals for the year 2008-09 in the Lok Sabha today, be informed that awards for the year 2008 had gone to Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri, Maharashtra; the University of Mysore and the Delhi University.
