President, VVIPs attend Amit Deshmukh's reception

Mumbai, Feb 29 (UNI) President Pratibha Patil today graced the wedding reception of Amit Deshmukh, eldest son of Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, at Mahalaxmi race course here.

Besides Mrs Patil, the other VVIPs who attended the reception included Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil, Minority Welfare Minister A R Antulay, Union Minister for Non-Conventional Energy Vilas Muttemwar, former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh, many other MPs, MLAs, bureaucrats and consul generals of various countries in Mumbai.

Zee Group chairman Subhash Chandra, Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC) president Neeraj Bajaj and Venugopal Dhoot of Videocon were also present to give their blessings to the couple.

Among other VIPs, veteran singers Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, musician Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, comedian Rajpal Yadav, yesteryear actress Moushmi Chatterjee, Marathi actor Prabhakar Panshikar, Sulochana and singer Suresh Wadkar attended the function.
