Nicholson apologies to Kidman, Watts

Sydney, Feb 29 : If there's one thing actor Jack Nicholson regrets, it would be making Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts squirm with a whispered comment at the 2007 Oscars.

The actor's remark, followed by his smile and trademark arched bushy eyebrows, had the two Aussie actresses visibly blushing and smiling uncomfortably on the red carpet.

And while he won't let on just what the comment was, Nicholson admits that he's already apologised to Watts and is waiting to do the same to Kidman.

"I've already grabbed Naomi and given her my apologies. I still think I owe Nicole an apology," the Daily Telegraph quoted him, as saying.

"And quite frankly I may not give it because I don't remember what I said to her now," he added.

Nicholson, who was once voted the Top 10 Living Legends of Sex, is notorious for his risque jokes and remarks, and thinks that what he said probably made the two pals' "hair get a little turned".
