Misleading information regarding investment being given in MP

Bhopal, Feb 29 (UNI) Senior Congress legislator Sajjan Singh Verma today alleged in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly that misleading information regarding use of land for capital investment purpose was being provided.

Referring to MoUs signed during the recent Global Investors' Meet organised in Indore during the Question Hour, Mr Verma claimed that not only public but government was also beig misled by officials.

He said it was being mentioned that industries would be set up on certain plots that actually belonged to the Agriculture department.

However, land use has not been changed yet for setting up industries.

Industries Minister Jayant Malaiya described the allegation as baseless and pointed out that several times identification of land was carried out after inking of MoUs.

He denied that the government had been kept in dark. There would no change in the purpose for which a particular piece of land has been earmarked.
