Inquiry ordered into death threat to MLA

Bhopal, Feb 29 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani today directed the state government to inquire into the alleged death threats to SP legislator Kishor Samirte and provide him adequate security.

SP Legislature Party leader Sunil raised the matter as soon as the Question Hour began in the state Assembly and described the matter as a serious issue.

Taking cognisance of the matter, Mr Rohani directed the government to get the matter inquired and provide adequate security to him.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Narottam Mishra said the government would get the matter inquired and make arrangements for adequate security.

Mr Samirte was elected to the Vidhan Sabha from Lanji constituency in naxal-affected Balaghat district.
