Four killed in wall collapse

Aizawl, Feb 29 (UNI) As many as four people were killed and one was injured when a wall of boulders collapsed on them at Khatla here today.

In all 30 people were working at the construction site when the accident occurred, official sources said.

The victims were engaged in the construction of the New Capital Complex for government quarters and offices.

The injured had been hospitalised.

Disaster Management&Rehabilitation Minister K Sangthuama, Secretary K Riachho, Aizawl DC C Thanchhuma and important officials had immediately rushed to the site.

A sum of Rs 60,000 would be given to the next kin of the deceased and the injured.
