AP contemplates developing Bhavanapadu Port under PPP

Hyderabad, Feb 29 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Ports Minister M Venkata Ramana Rao today said the government contemplated developing Bhavanapadu Port under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for the benefit of the fishermen community.

Replying to a question raised by nominated member R Ratnakumari in the Council, he said there was a proposal to revive the port for the benefit of fishermen community.

He said that if any proposal came up for port construction in future, the government would propose to combine fishing harbour and port construction together.
