Two people in Crime Branch net in J

Srinagar, Feb 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police Crime Branch (CB) has registered a case against an employee of electric department Rash Paul Singh for allegedly having fudged his date of birth.

He said investigation revealed that there was only six years age difference between Singh and his son.

Giving details about the case, a senior CB officer said a tip off was received that Singh, a lineman in the electric department, had fudged his date of birth to remain in government job for a longer time.

Durig the investigation it was found the recorded date of birth of the suspect is April 17, 1950, while the date of birth of his son Sudershan Paul Singh, working in the same department, has been recorded as April 6, 1956.

He said the difference of a mere 6 years between the age of father and son is next to impossible.

He said the actual date of birth of the accused is February 11, 1929.

The Crime Branch is making an in-depth investigation in the case.

He said in another case, one Reyaz Ahmad Wani had been accused of cheating one Jalal-ud-Din Sheikh, who approached him for executing a sale deed for half portion of his house situated at Budgair Aali Kadal Srinagar.

The accused received court fee from the plaintiff but prepared fake documents.
