Reference rate at Rs 39.81 per USD

Mumbai, Feb 28 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India today fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at Rs 39.81 up by eight paise as compared to its yesterday's rate.

The exchange rates of Great Britain's Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were given as Rs 78.9492 per pound and Rs 37.47 per 100 yen respectively, an RBI release said.
