PPP, PML (N) vow to ban military from politics

Islamabad, Feb 28, 2008 : The Pakistani opposition parties which inflicted a crushing defeat on President Pervez Musharraf's allies in last week's election vowed at a gathering in Islamabad on February 27 to banish the military from politics.

Citing the assassination of former Pakistani premier Benazir Bhutto, Asif Ali Zardari, leader of the Pakistan People"s Party said that the opposition should work together to end the supremacy of the military-led establishment.
