NMA concerned over pre-poll violence
Kohima, Feb 28 (UNI) The Naga Mothers' Association (NMA) today expressed concern over the spate of poll-related violence and confrontations taking place in the state.
In a release, NMA president Khesheli Chishi said precious lives and properties had already been lost.
''It is the duty of every responsible citizen, state government and law-enforcing agencies to ensure that untoward incidents leading to the loss of lives and properties are prevented,'' the release stated.
The NMA called upon the people, particularly the Naga womenfolk, to demonstrate courage and act with ''reason and wisdom'' so as to enable the people to elect the best leaders.
