Mercury shoots up to 27.2 Degree Celsius
New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) Delhi's movement towards summer season continued today with the mercury shooting up to 27.2 Degree two degrees above normal.
Continuing its rising trend, the maximum temperature today shot up to 27.2 Degree Celsius, from 26.3 Degree Celsius even though there was a slight drop in minimum temperature to 10.5 Degree C.
The warmth in the air is likely to persist in the coming days with the weathermen forecasting a rise in mercury in the coming days.
''The current meteorological analysis suggests that a gradual increasing trend in minimum and maximum temperatures is likely over Northwest India during the next 4-5 days,''the met office said.
The Met office has forecast a mainly clear sky in Delhi during the next 24 hours.
