Lover burnt by paramour's parents

Fatehpur, Feb 28: A jilted lover sustained severe burns after the parents of his paramour allegedly set him on fire here.

The incident is reported from Kharkher area, where Ram Pratap (21), II yr student of an engineering college in Chandigarh, was to marry his lady love Pooja.

Later, Pooja had broken the commitment over some reasons, police said yesterday.

When Ram went to Pooja's house late on Tuesday, her parents allegedly attempted to kill him.

The critically wounded is battling for life at hospital in Allahabad.

The girl's parents are absconding.
