Bihar to introduce e-stamp papers from April 1
Patna, Feb 28(UNI) The Bihar Government has decided to introduce e-stamp papers from next fiscal to counter fake stamp papers in the state.
Official sources here today said the people would be able to purchase the electronic stamp papers from the vendors of "Stock Holding Corporation of India", an authorished agency of Government of India, from April 1.
Initially the e-stamp papers would be introduced in Patna and Muzaffarpur followed by other district headquarters.
The customors would be provided with the computerised print outs of the e-stamp papers on demand, of the same value against payment, to check the fake stamp papers in circulation, particularly in post-stamp paper scam, sources said.
