8 doctors, 30 others suspended in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended eight doctors and 30 para-medical staff for shutting down sub-district hospital in south Kashmir.

An official spokesman said District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian in south Kashmir conducted surprise check of sub district hospital at Keller and found doctors and para medical staff absent from duty.

He said the DDC immediately ordered suspension of eight doctors and 30 para medical staff.

Warning strict action against the hospital staff, he directed Chief Medical Officer, Shopian, to conduct inquiry and submit the report within seven days.

He also issued orders for suspension of four employees of sub- district agriculture office, Keller who were found unauthorisedly absent from duty.
