3 Poorest candidates in Nagaland poll battle
Kohima, Feb 28 (UNI) An interesting mix of 31 'crorepatis' and three poor nominees, including a minister, make up the list of 218 candidates vying for the 60-member Nagaland Assembly election on March 5.
As per the declaration of assets by the contesting candidates to the Chief Electoral Officer, three of them are 'the poorest' having no cash balance, deposits in banks, agricultural or non-agricultural based property or even a house.
They are Independent nominee and former Minister in the DAN government C. Kipili Sangtam from Seyochung-Sitimi A/C constituency, RJD's Chennyem, contesting from Tehok A/C under Mon district and Independent candidate Chothorengba from Seyong-Sitimi A/C under Kiphire district.
