Upcoming hospitals to have homeo units: CM

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit today said her Government has decided to commission 25 new Homoeopathic dispensaries in the capital and open Homoeopathic units in all upcoming dispensaries.

Exhorting homoeopaths to undertake suitable research to ensure best quality medicines, Ms Dikshit said integration of different systems of medicine have been found to be useful and assured her government's support for development of Homoeopathy, Ayurved and Unani system of medicines.

The Chief Minister said mobile dispensaries would be deployed in congested colonies to ensure health services at the doorstep of the people.

In order to achieve this goal, colony hospitals would be suitably upgraded and dispensaries would also be provided with diagnostic facilities to overcome the problem of heavy rush of patients in big hospitals, she said.

This would also help in curbing modus operandi of quacks in Delhi, said Ms Dikshit at a function organised in connection with inauguration of a Thyroid Clinic at Dr B R Sur Homoeopathic Medical College Hospital and Research Centre.
