Suchitra Sen falls ill, admitted to hospital

Kolkata, Feb 27 (UNI) Legendary Bengali screen actress of yesteryears Suchitra Sen has been admitted to a nursing home here after she complained of breathlessness, fever and related ailments, sources said today.

The actress, who was admitted to the Belle Vue nursing home on Monday night, is undergoing treatment by a medical team under the supervision of Dr Subrata Maitra.

A large number of people gathered in front of the nursing home since morning to enquire about the condition of Ms Sen.

None of her family members was seen at the nursing home as most of them are presently in Mumbai, sources said.

Earlier, Ms Sen was admitted to the same nursing home on October 8, 2007 with fever and urinary tract infection.

She was released from the hospital on October 26, 2007 after treatment of 17 days.
