Relief campaign at impoverished Bundelkhand
Banda, Feb 27 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today initiated relief campaign at the Banda district of drought-hit Bundelkhand region.
District Magistrate Ranjan Kumar said Gram panchayat was called in 70 villages for the purpose, where money was distributed under Rojgar Guarantee Yojna.
Problems of handicapped and widows were redressed on the spot besides, digging solution for other problems related to irrigation, potable water, electricity and ration distribution.
Five nodal officers, including Chief Development Officer will supervise the relief work.
The relief campaign will continue till March 14 UNI PDM LS KP2341
