Nine convicted in a multi-crore fodder scam case
Ranchi, Feb 27 (UNI) The designated CBI court today awarded punishment varying between four to seven years, to nine people accused of multi-crore foddar scam.
CBI Judge Manoranjan Kavi also imposed fine of Rs 25,000 to 1.5 lakh and if the defaulty, then the period of punishment would increase by three more months.
The court had resrved its judgement in this regard yesterday.
Mr S R Das, appearing on behalf of the CBI, informed the court that around Rs 17,43,698 had been withdrawn from the Hazaribagh treasury in between 1992-93 on three forge allotment letter.
There were altogether 12 accused in the case out of which one died during the trial. Another person lost his life while serving punishment and one acused was acquitted in absence of proof against him.
