HP cabinet constitutes sub-committee for New Transfer Policy

Dharamshala, Feb 27 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet today gave its approval to the constitution of a Cabinet Sub-committee for framing a comprehensive New Transfer Policy for the government.

The Sub-committee will be headed by PWD and Revenue Minister Gulab Singh Thakur with Forest Minister J P Nadda and Education Minister I D Dhiman as its members.

The Committee would give recommendations to the state government on the New Transfer Policy after studying the reports of the earlier such sub-committees which were headed by the late Mr Kishoril Vaidya and Mr Kaul Singh Thakur.

The decision was taken in the meeting of the Cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal here.

The Cabinet also decided to withdraw all cases registered in recent years against political party workers and student leaders belonging to any organisation. However, the withdrawl would only be in those cases where there was no violence or damage to property.

The Cabinet also had detailed discussions over the budget proposals for the next financial year and the papers proposed to be laid down in the Vidhan Sabha in the coming budget session.

The cabinet also approved the reports of the third Finance Commission and Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
