Court allows sad Chief Sukhbir to go abroad
Rupnagar, Feb 27 (UNI) Additional Sessions Judge M S Randhawa today granted permission to Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, an accused in disproportionate assets case against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and others, to go abroad from February 29 to March 7.
Sukhbir had sought the permission to visit Italy and Greece for motivating the 'Punjabis' settled there to make investments in Punjab.
Earlier, Sukhbir had sought the permission to visit Italy and Greece from March 1 to 7. However, later on he rescheduled his visit by a day. Thereafter, he filed a fresh application in this regard on February 25.
The court heard the application today and allowed the SAD chief to go abroad from February 29.
